For quite some time, I have been trying to figure out how to make the ã on a spanish laptop keyboard running Kubuntu. None of the normal key combinations would do it.
Of course on a normal keyboard, you can generate the ã using the combination “alt + 227″ using the number keys on the number pad, but this doesn’t help for a laptop keyboard.
I saw this same question on a lot of forums and none of them had an answer that worked. So after a lot of time trying, I have found that by pressing the altGR key + ¡ (the key with the ¿ ¡ next to the backspace key) and then pressing the ‘a’ key, the ã symbol will appear.
so again, that is altGR + ¡ followed by the ‘a’ key. (The upside down exclamation point. Not the lower case i)
And of course the ô can be generated by pressing the ^ followed by the ‘o’ key.
I discovered this just by playing with key combinations using the altGR key.
I’ve just converted the website to Joomla, and have added wordpress. The point of it all for the moment is just to be totally up to speed on the content management systems, and to that end, I’ll try to add some interesting content here, and post updates about any especially interesting projects either professional or personal that I happen to be working on.
I’ve just installed wordpress, with the idea of seeing how well joomla works with wordpress on the same system.
